Located in Central Alberta, between Edmonton and Calgary, Morningside Natural Area has so much to offer to all type of visitors. From those interested in outdoor research studies and educational activities, to the ones interested in enjoying nature in a quiet and pleasant place. The area has been used for orienteering, boy scout training, hiking, nature observation and other various forms of recreation.

The Morningside Natural Area privileged location, between the grasslands in the south and the boreal forest in the north, constitutes one of its main attractions since it gives its visitors a wide range of landscapes that are present only in the prairie provinces of Canada, and are here for you to enjoy and explore.

The park is also home to a wide amount of different species of birds and animals, as well as several common trees, plants and flowers. They can be observed in their original environment which constitutes another attraction of the natural area.
